9 month check up.

Colton and I went to the doctors today for his 9 month check up. He got an excellent bill of health and is "normal".  He weighs 24 lbs (95%) and is 28 1/2 inches tall (75%).  He is finally starting to get teeth, you can see the top of one and feel another coming in on the bottom. He will eat anything you give him, he's not picky at all. Still not crawling but if he sees something he wants he throws his body towards it, looks like we will be baby proofing the house soon. 

Colton loves to play in the bath, I took this video 2 nights ago while he was in there playing!

Easter with our 8 month old!

Our little man is 8 months old! Still not crawling, but he does say momma now and I am thrilled! It is like music to my ears. I busted out with the video recorder while I was driving the other day to capture the priceless moment... safe I know! 

I purchased an editing program last week and decided to have a photo shoot for his 8 month birthday. I took them in my kitchen, the background is the blanket that is at the end of our bed, push pinned to the wall.  Here are a few of the finished products.

San Diego

Chaz's quarterly partners meeting was this past weekend in San Diego, we had a great time! The weather was fantastic and the company was great too. We had a bunch of free time which gave us the opportunity to explore downtown. We walked the beach, visited Miramar, cruised on a yacht and enjoyed some adult beverages and wonderful dinners with out a high chair.
I survived 4 days with out Colton, because he was in great hands, he vacationed to Ovilla to be with his Gram and Papa.

Texas Bluebonnets

Colton and I went out to take some photos in the Bluebonnets this morning, Jess had mentioned this field by her work. It worked out great because we were the only ones out there. The field was so beautiful.

7months!

I don't have any stats because we don't go back to the doctor until he is 9 months but I would have to guess, weight- heavy, height-medium, head circumference- looks good to me, appetite- excellent!

Here are some photos I took this afternoon of our boy. The bench he is sitting on in some of the pictures is from Chaz's family ranch. I am so glad we brought that back I love the way it photographs.

Colton is starting to look so old! We were on our way to the gym and I had to snap this picture. It was his 1st time wearing his summer flip flops and he was completely fascinated by them! He is such a big hit and the gym, thankfully he enjoys going and the ladies in the kid care section eat him up.

I took this one at the end of the day on St. Patty's. I was taking his shirt off and left it on his head, he had one heck of a time trying to get it off and finally he just gave up and hung out with it on his head. I love his rolls!

My mom was on spring break last week so Colton and I met up with her to go run errands and shop. I was cracking up because every store we would go in to she would find some random hat and put it on him. He was a good sport and found it to be very entertaining.

This is why bath time after dinner is a necessity. Lately every time I feed him his hand has to go in his mouth with his food. He usually decides to rub it all over his face and then towards the end of the meal he wants to feed him self so we play tug of war with the spoon. Good times!
