We recently went to Park City, Utah for a family Ski Trip with my Dad, we had a great time celebrating my Dad and Brothers birthday while ewe were there. Chaz and I love to ski and were thankful that we were able to go this year. We weren't sure how his knee was going to hold up and we needed someone to watch Colton. His knee held up and my step mom kept Colton, so the trip was a success. It has been a record low for snow fall this season so we were thankful that there was enough for us to ski on and for the snow machines that were making snow around the clock for us to ski on.

We didn't get any snow while we were there, that is until the day we left. So I snapped come pictures of Colton in the snow in his cute little jacket. He kept slipping on the ice so he wasn't very thrilled.

I hope everyone has a great new year's eve and a very happy new year!!!

See ya in 2012~

Exciting News!

Exciting news! We closed on our new house yesterday. The most exciting part of all of it is that our house sold in 7 days, 7 days, did I mention that is sold in 7 days!!!! I owe it all to the smell good candles I had lit and the lovely Christmas tunes playing through out the house. Construction started today on the new house and hopefully we will start moving stuff in at the end of the year and officially be all moved in by the beginning of January.

We had our end of the year play date with my Mom's group this past Wednesday.  I feel so fortunate that I found such a great group of women, they are all so special to me. We finished up the play date with a carousel ride that started off really well and ended with Colton crying and me feeling dizzy and trying to balance while holding my huge child and a horses tail. Long story short no more carousel rides for us for a while.

christmas pictures

My good friend Casey came in town and was nice enough to try and capture a family photo for this years christmas cards, trying to get Colton to smile and stop doing itsy bitsy spider or saying OH was quite a task. I thought you might enjoy some of the bloopers!

Colton had his 15 month check up this past week and he is growing like a weed. He is obsessed with "The itsy bitsy spider" and loves to blow kisses to everyone! Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. The count down to Christmas has officially begun T-mines 24 days.

Pumpkin Patch

Colton and I went to the Arboretum this morning to take some pictures with the pumpkins. He had a lot of fun trying to pick all of the them up, thankfully I was able to capture some cute pictures of him.

He has started to walk in the last week and is taking about 5-10 steps at a time. He has gotten a few battle wounds from face planting on the wood floors but it hasn't slowed him down any.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLTON!

I can't believe my baby boy is 1.... it feels like it's been a year but part of it seems to have gone by really fast. He is on the go crawling 90 mph, pulling up on the furniture and putting everything in his mouth. We are 5 weeks in to swim lessons. He can float really well on his back, it amazes me. He is struggling with falling in face first and rolling onto his back but he is making progress. Today was the first lesson where he didn't cry the entire time, that was a huge relief. Here are some pictures from his smash cake session a few weeks ago and some of my favorites from his party this past weekend.

On the go!

Colton is a movin and a grovin! He no longer sits still and neither do I. I spend most of my time chasing after him and pulling stuff out of his mouth that he shouldn't be chewing on. He is fearless he likes to crawl to the edge of the couch/ chair/ bed and look down, then dive! Never a dull moment when he is around!

He also likes to "jump in his bed", this is how he is when he is ready to get out of bed, he starts jumping! Thankfully he hasn't figured out how to crawl out of his crib... yet!

Going on a walk in his wagon

We decided to sign Colton up for swim lessons. We are almost finished with week 2 and I am so thankful that we are doing them. They aren't like normal swim lessons, they are infant swim survival classes. He gets dunked over and over and now is learning how to float on his back. He cries the entire time but in a few weeks it will all be over and out little boy will be a great floater. Here is a little video from part of his lesson.

Movement!

Colton is crawling.... kind of. He doesn't lift his belly up off of the floor yet but he gets from A to B. He pulled up for the 1st time last night in the bath tub and has already gotten a little beat up by the stuff around him. The days of putting him on the floor or on my bed to play and come back and him still being in the same spot is long gone.

This morning when I was putting my make up on Colton crawled around the corner and was sitting in the corner playing with the door stop. Yesterday he managed to get the top off and was chewing on that. He loves to pull on the door stop and hit it because it makes noise. The outlet also looked interesting to him! Baby proofing will be put into full force immediately.

Yesterday he got a scratch under his eye that was really red. I put some antibiotic cream on it, but forgot to take his band aid off before he went down for a nap. I'm pretty sure pulling the band aid out of his hair hurt more then the scratch!
